I just read through it and from what I could gather, they actually taken in some feedback. For the most part, they're going to implement it to where it doesn't require selfies or ID cards. This isn't something to cause any of y'all to nuke your Discord accounts or go into mass hysteria.

You're allowed to spend days/weeks/months/YEARS on a piece if there is no deadline. Have you seen the date marks on some famous paintings? Leonardo Da Vinci spent 16 years intermittently working on the Mona Lisa and he died before it was finished! SLOW DOWN.

Seeing people talk about genAI use in video games and being like "Well it's fine if it's just coding" No, absolutely not. You do not encroach upon my field and decide it's okay just because you think it's less artistic somehow. Video game code is art too. Way more than it's science, even.

Tons of artists (beginners, professionals and all in between) rely on 3D models and photos to create artwork with accurate proportions in a short time frame. Art fight encourages a consistent stream of artwork that benefits from these resources. (1/)
