A "Hail Caledonia" postcard showing a before and after of the Cathedral Street renovations completed by The National Trust for Scotland and Perth County Council as part of the "Little Houses" renovation scheme. This work took place between 1954 and 1965.
This is Trooper Gilbert Fenion photographed around 1918. Gilbert joined the Scottish Horse regiment on the 28th of September 1914, he was 21 years old. Gilbert was a postman before joining the Scottish Horse.
A James Valentine Postcard of the Cross and fountain in Dunkeld, registered in 1885. The fountain is a memorial for the 6th Duke of Atholl, built in 1866.

A photograph of Birnam from an unusual angle! This image was captured by George Washington Wilson and captioned "Torwood near Birnam". It was entered in his catalogue by 1877 and features local buildings such as St Mary's tower which was demolished in the 1960s.

We've been working on a likely medieval chapel site all week with @historicdunkeld.bsky.social and today was flagstone lifting day. And charcoal has been found! 🙏
We are still looking to hear from more of you! Don't forget to sign up to some of our online sessions too; 7th of July 7-8pm : "What do you love or hate about museums?" 13th of July 2-3pm : "Technology in Museums" 17th of July 10-11am: "How can we stand out in the crowd?"
One of the Scottish Horse's tanks in the workshop for repair, photograph taken in the late 1940s (no exact date given). The tank appears to be either a Cromwell or a Comet but any identification help is always greatly appreciated.
