According to Trump, Iran wants to make a deal badly and is begging to surrender to him because they are completely destroyed but he doesn’t want to accept that so the war must continue and he will bomb them again very strongly and powerfully right after the midterm elections.

The Americans shouldn't want to fight Iran. The Americans don't want to fight Iran. But given that they are fighting them, they should be able to win. Why they aren't winning seems to me to be the most interesting question.

At the time of writing this, the Fairford incident could be anything on a spectrum from organised attack by foreign government all the way to badly chosen Tesco delivery order. But if it is an attack, it's hard not to argue that it's a legitimate military target.
