Slightly transparent, and half-rotting. The foul stench assaulted my nose, like a spoiled carcass left to the elements. Saliva gathered in my mouth, and I choked down the acrid taste of bile. Intricate evening gowns and suits were full of moth holes and tatters. Hollowed, paled eyes stared blankly at their partners as they held each other with skeletal arms that bore hanging, decomposing flesh. Some had only gristled skulls for faces, having succumbed to the further reaches of death. Dark, oozing blood stained their clothes, as if some great massacre had occurred, only for them to be resurrected for one last dance.
