Hey guys, interest check. I'm thinking of skipping Chicago because I'd really really like to see the SFMOMA exhibit, and i can only afford one of the two. Since I was fortunate enough to attend arirang already, I want to put SF as my priority next. Moots or moot in laws interested in fv tickets?
I've been thinking about some kind of resource/guide that can help people navigate the (politics of) controversy, disagreement, and conflict in (army) fandom. these things are inevitable, yet it feels like we're often caught off guard or underprepared or just a bit lost when they come.
my summer reading has been rejuvenating + inspiring. a mix of re-visits and new reads!
lots of chatter about violence against women and intimate partner violence today. as an IPV advocate/researcher and someone who has experienced it myself, my dms are open if anyone wants to talk 💜
there is a certain type of person who I encourage to try a thing called Not Knowing. you can just not know! people do it all the time! no more articles! no more scrolling! just less! Not Knowing is not bad! Knowing is not inherently good! you like to nom nom on info + you have a brain tummy ache!
listening to an audiobook so depressing it has given me new empathy for folks who read my fics 😭
