Djed Spence has been great for Spurs today but it’s far from a flash in the pan, their fans have been raving about him for a fair while now, his performance away at Brentford a couple of weeks back was superb too. He’s become a big, big part of their game.

Maybe it’s just recency bias from me but adding the magician that is Matheus Cunha into a squad which already boasts Aina, Hudson-Odoi, Anderson, Elanga, Gibbs-White and Wood would be a serious power move. That’s an absolutely filthy group of players.

Flav and I were hugely grateful to @23carra.bsky.social for taking the time to speak to us on Football Between The Lines today. It’s honestly still mad to me that I get to have conversations with people who are so deeply embedded within the game and I have all of you to thank for that. ❤️

Another goal for Jamie Vardy yesterday in Leicester’s draw with Brighton. He’s now just 8 Premier League goals away from levelling Michael Owen’s career total; that’s mad considering he didn’t kick a ball in the top flight until he was 27.
A lot of games get the huge hype job in the build-up from Sky these days but I feel like fixtures between Spurs and Chelsea live up to it more than almost any other.
