If the rumours of the Steam Frame starting at $1,500 turn out to be correct, I genuinely don't see the point in that headset. Especially since Valve made the truly baffling decision to stick with LCD displays not OLED in big 2026. It'll only play your Steam games, so no access to Quest exclusives.

Really in the mood to play some VR, but it's just too hot at the moment to have that headset strapped to my face and waving my arms around like an idiot for 2 hours.

This is like if a drug addict said "you say you want meth and cocaine to magically disappear overnight, but could you actually put your money where your mouth is and make it through an entire day without them?" Yes. Very easily. Because I don't use meth or cocaine. So why would it be an issue?
