Here's a pic of my dad. He was 29 years old when he piloted a C47 carrying paratroopers on D-day. The 2nd pic shows a C47 towing a plywood glider, which was also full of paratroopers. He died about 30 years ago. I am thankful that he doesn't see his bravery was all for naught.
