I love the thing in Star Trek when they list a bunch of events and always include a real event from history followed by a fictional event. Such a cool way to immediately give credibility to the fictional one.

Update 7 Infusion 3 of 4 done. Cold sensitivity worse but staying top of it with gloves this time. Cut the tips so I can still tippy tap on my phone. Getting through this one day at a time. Appreciate all your support guys ❤️ Get your fiber and colonoscopies 💩
Bips McCallister@hoomph.bsky.social · 3mo agoUpdate 6 Infusion 2 of 4 done. Deferred from last week bc my ALT was 407 😳 down to 154 today. Cold sensitivity notably worse this time. Feel more woozy kind of overall. But not bad. I continue to feel so grateful that this is all I have to deal with.

Nervous about swallowing the pills and some of the side fx but overall I feel great about everything. Thank you all for your support, I love ya ❤️ Reminder to get your fiber!! 💩
Update part 4 Had a CT and some bloodwork today. Chemo starts 6/10. Doing 3 mo. Infusion every 3 wks and pills at home. Nervous about swallowing the pills and some of the side fx but overall I feel great about everything. Thank you all for your support, I love ya ❤️ Reminder to get your fiber!! 💩

Feel so much better today and hopefully going home tomorrow. Doc still has to look at lymph nodes so I may need some chemo but I feel good about everything.
Days of the week in order of word length: Friday Sunday Monday Tuesday Saturday Thursday Wednesday
Update for awareness part 3 Well it turns out I have cancer after all 😅 Just had surgery to remove part of my colon and everything went well! Feel so much better today and hopefully going home tomorrow. Doc still has to look at lymph nodes so I may need some chemo but I feel good about everything.
Bips McCallister@hoomph.bsky.social · 6mo agoUpdate for awareness! Just had my second colonoscopy (this one with EMR) to remove a larger polyp that couldn’t be removed during my first one. Everything went well! Doc still has to review to make sure there is no cancer but she feels good about it.

Had a scare recently (I’m ok but feel like I dodged a bullet) and I’m so glad I got one when I did.
