Imma just say it. At 85%, White Kids who came from a place of privilege running the DSAs after they helped benefit from gentrified communities, have no survival instincts. That's why they are scared to challenge Red Districts. They are scared to face their parents.
Hillary won with 2,842 to Sanders total of 1,865 delegates. There were 716 Super Delegates. They made no difference, Sanders lost period. Sanders remains an "Independent" outlier, not a member of the Democratic party, simply latching on to it to gain the clout he is unable to earn on his own.
