it was probably a really good idea to get into 3d rendering and its various hardware requirements during this hell period for computing hardware if our macbook or pc ever dies were fuuuuuucked

reinforced by us writing a custom image loader in godot and it was the most fun weve had so far in it just doing byte loading and interpretation and not having to touch much of anything outside the script editor and also we accidentally stayed up until 3 am because we were enjoying it too much

it occurs to us we struggle with a lot of programming stuff not because its too hard or our brain doesnt work with it but we just dont really like having 1000 layers of abstraction

weve been boycotting microsoft published games since the BDS call against them started but theyre really doing everything they can to make sure we never want to give them anything again even if all that ever lets up

infinite numbers of little physics tweaks, a basic script for the table (keeps track of score internally, no display yet), and pressure activated slingshots (without any model) sounds are also wip (recordings of us smacking things with a big metal screw)

our most ridiculous dream right now is to illustrate for a pinball table which has the unfortunate requirement of needing a pinball table to illustrate for but fuuuck man it would be so cool

if you get out of the world of shitty streaming services how is music like the only media where drm-free became standard and you can just download the files raw but everything else got worse

we feel like an less-discussed aspect of video game graphics is how the less realistic a game looks the less anything less than perfect polish stands out, like minor graphical errors in an old game we just completely tune out but if we see a tree act weird in RDR2 our brain focuses on it instantly

how are y'all playing star fox 64 because we cannot aim with anything other than the original n64 joystick and thats too deteriorated to output full range and turn fast enough for the free-flying sections 🥲
