Bondage riggers into rope often have very distinctive styles. Did anyone else play with G, who I'll refer to as TC (his consistent Recon handle was TiedCowboy)? Unlike C, TC favoured relatively narrow or thick cord woven into an intricate network with lots of cinching and diagonal cross-roping.

Solstice reflection: what's your biggest gear/kink/fetish related regret? Here's a rare pic of me wearing (beneath the straitjacket) the beautiful Aquala drysuit I owned in the early '00s. Having seen me escape his ropes once, C decided to make the second rubbered tie-up more challenging. After roping my wrists, forearms and upper body, he applied a tape/bondage gag and tied me to the bed so my body weight pinned my bound arms in place and effectively curtailed my ability to wriggle.

No matter how many times I might get strapped up in straitjackets, sleepsacks and all manner of amazing restraint devices, I will always have a soft spot for one of the earliest and simplest turn-ons: classic rope bondage done well. Oilskins! I've been doing a roughly chronological deep dive into my bondage/fetish experiences, mainly focused on early-to-mid '00 sessions with Jim S or at his place. I did play with other guys tho and, it seemed, vintage rubber/oilskin gear was a common, ongoing turn-on with several of them.

I 100% recommend @blktiger.bsky.social: he's professional, reliable, talented and skilled at drawing hot, sexy works of kink/fetish art, both human and anthro/furry. It's appeared here before but here's an enduring favourite, depicting various of the shades of Behr. Treat yourself to a commission!

Had to get FetLife moderators to take down, from another guy's profile, a pic of me tied up. I'm generally okay when someone is saying "here's an image I found online of the sort of thing I like" but when he's letting other people think it IS him or he made the bondage, that, for me, crosses a line.

"The rubber straitjacket feels good," I told C, "but on its own, it's quite easy to escape from - there are no front or side loops so it needs extra restraints added to make it properly secure." It's fair to say C rose to the challenge.

I think these pics came from the same '00s session as the John Bull Challenge inspired straitjacket. That jacket was so tight-fitting I couldn't fit it over full yellow oilskins but, the rest of the session, this Guy Cotten fisherman rainsuit felt fantastic to wear.

In a straitjacket in Jim's upper room, in Clapham. Sometimes, he'd strap me in himself; sometimes, it was about playing with other guys. Latterly, especially, I think Jim preferred to opt out and let those other guys to use his upstairs space for whatever they wanted to do with one another.

I was lucky, in the early-to-mid '00s, to have the opportunity to try on a very rare design of jacket, made by Jim S. I think he developed the arms-down idea from the original John Bull Challenge Straitjacket, intended to hold Houdini (Jim made a prototype of that one too). Impossible to sit down!
