As the current National Housing Strategy reaches the end of its cycle in 2027–2028 and a new strategy is being developed, Canada has the chance to reflect on the lessons of the past decade and chart a new path forward.

Homelessness in Canada is a human rights crisis driven by systemic failures in housing, income, health, justice, and the impact of colonialism. The Federal Housing Advocate urges #HUMA to assess federal action through a human rights-based lens to address and prevent homelessness.
