I'm working on a little 8x10 painting with gold leaf in the Renaissance style. I'm much inspired by the pre Raphaelite style. Thanks to @howardlyonart.bsky.social for the reference photo. Available soon #artsky #oilpainting #bskyart #painting #art #mercurialmuse #portraiture #traditionalart #icons

Idea for the Fighter. Based almost directly off @howardlyonart.bsky.social 's "Bonnie Knight" ref pack. was going to follow the ref more directly but as the setting shifted to a 12th-13th century look & I wanted the Paladin to have the heaviest armor, chain and tabard replaced the plate in the ref

Barely talked about it but it's an idea I want to keep alive, so here's a sketch for my idea of "classical classes." Presenting the 12 main ttrpg classes in a more grounded way. All women too. Paladin idea is coming together nicely. Early 14th century armor, other classes will have "older" stuff

New painting 🦋 Ive been wanting to play around with cool tones, mood, and have more practice in painting metal and armor. Found a great reference from one of @howardlyonart.bsky.social reference packs to practice from. I also love morpho butterflies and am always finding ways to paint them more.

I painted this while listening to a lot of #Hozier. Inspired by "Too Sweet" and "Abstract (Psychopomp)" specifically. Also, amazing figure reference from @howardlyonart.bsky.social. #Watercolor #Portrait #ImaginativeRealism #SpiritualArt #InspiredByMusic #JLGribbleArt

Painting study using reference from @howardlyonart.bsky.social !

I painted the wings of this dragonfly to make it a Drag-queen-fly hehe. I can’t wait to do a painting of this one!

Pra finalizar o trio, agora falando sobre cabelo liso #cortesdasula Artista de referência: @howardlyonart.bsky.social

Hey artists!! Post some art you made from before Bluesky!! #art It was the challenge on the discord channel of @howardlyonart.bsky.social I think. One of my final paintings with water soluble oils, I switched to regular oils shortly after this portrait.

Hey artists!! Post some art you made from before Bluesky!! Made this is December 2022! (I'm saying the official start of bluesky is February 2023 cause that's when invites began and I can't remember when I joined 😅 I was in the first 250k!) #art

I did a study from the Dark Fae reference pack offered by @howardlyonart.bsky.social. I wanted to focus on the overall mood, lighting, and use of color. Ive been a little burnt out, so this was a fun and low pressure piece to do, and I really like the overall result!

I am excited and fortunate to be a finalist in this year’s Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize! “Pasithea” oil on panel 24” round @beautifulbizarre.net

3-hour painting from last night. Oil on linen panel. #allaprima #oilpainting #portrait #painting

Another work in progress. “Zephyr Flirting with Flora”.

It was more than a year in the planning, including growing the flowers and figuring out how to get the camera a good 15 feet above the ground to reduce distortion. You can find it on my Gumroad page: howardlyonart.gumroad.com Use the code SUMERTIME to get 30% off!

I had a blast painting my beautiful friend @artmodel-sarah.bsky.social as Tress of the Emerald Sea. She was the original model for the book! We had about 2 hours of painting time. I love my art community! #art #painting #oilpainting #allaprima #tressoftheemeraldsea #brandonsanderson

I had the urge to paint this very, romantic themed, classical piece - so I dove into one of @howardlyonart.bsky.social ‘s reference packs. I definitely overworked the hair, but we live and we learn haha! used procreate, and it took 9 hours #painting #art #artist #digitalart #portrait #procreate

@trueref.bsky.social has so many great pose packs (used one for the sketchbook studies pictured below), and I've also been collecting reference packs through @howardlyonart.bsky.social 's Patreon! (used for this painting)
