Our Constitution expressly forbids control of our elections by the President (Art. I.4). State legislatures & Congress have that power, exclusively. No Democrat or Republican who swore to uphold our Constitution, but devotes themselves to shredding it, should last one hour in high office.

A Boston judge has issued a 2nd injunction against Trump's mail-voting executive order. This means that, even if SCOTUS overturns the 1st injunction (which is currently on the shadow docket), the order will remain blocked (pending appeal). Time's running out before the election…

One thing that really nets my scape is when people answer an unknown caller on their work phone with "hello" because i then have to immediately confirm that i am talking to the right person. I answer calls with "This is Steve with <company>" and it kills the ambiguity immediately.

The thing about this is that even if you could build an AI-powered chimerical amalgamation of famously smart people from the past, and even if you weren’t selecting those people simply because they’re ideological touchstones for your faction, this is a utterly deranged conception of a leader’s role
