Ashayas Enduring Bond is so funny but honestly making the spell legendary is stupid. Just let me cast the spell. Make me pay life or sac stuff or discard stuff or Exile Cards From Hand or something but please stop forcing me to run creatures and creature tokens.
Every so often I will say stuff online and it flips the Whimsy Switch. Like I was doing the stupid "gotcha" nonsense or whatever and stumbled into The Boil. I forgot that I just dont care about commander anymore... the format doesnt feel like a game anymore so yeah... shove everything in the cz.

Like Ashya's Enduring Bond is awful but kinda funny and I would love to see like "Azor's Enduring Revelation" that is the same thing but Sphinx's Rev
So like... the pictures are new but is the star trek set a reskin of an old set or something? Or is every slot under rare just always the same cards?
So venting more Sour Milk but like... I do not like "this can also be your commander because fuck commander rules" cards. Like why not just get it over with and change to rules to "you can put any card in your command zone"? Like changes to how the command zone function annoy me.
Okay but what if your pay off for having infinite mana was.... more mana????
I see players say this all the time but I doubt this so strongly. Like who? Who would be mad? Marvel had a ton of characters not included and like... who cares? Marvel didnt include Cpt America saying "Hail Hydra" but no one was mad. Like stop third party projecting onto nonexistent others.

Do you get it? You can cycle them for lands because whales were used as a symbol of ecological collapse and over hunting because of the horrible things humans did/do to them Go ahead and support the ecological collapse by paying 2 to get additional productive resources for your industry

This seems like the most useless of the rulebreakers so obvioisly I kinda want to build it. I dont understand why he is doing domain....
I really like playing the Social Game though like cruchy grinder games are also awesome. Like 4 players all taking their hopefully well tuned party through a meat grinder and hoping to get out the other side is so fun.

If you players know their stats / character / sheets so well they can Roleplay it out without relying on dice, you won the lottery. I will die on this hill. No I will not debate it.
This card is probably my deepest Weirdo Find. It does so many things and I have honestly never seen this card played anywhere. Not vintage, modern standard legacy commander... none of it even though its very dynamic and poweful. Its $1 which may be too expensive for Value Vintage but I wanna try it

A whole deck of Flip Cards and Split Cards and mayve even Modal Cards.
I can't say "Mardu" without my brain doing a comical "Bostonian" accent saying "Mardy" with the most fun being "Mardy Spellslinger"
Was looking at Mardu commanders to run Hide//Seek in and this weirdo poped up. So you take a bit of Talion and a bit of Tahngrath and you got Squall. Name a number and if that number swings at your opponents Squall shoots them for no reason... I love that lol

How well has the market been doing at making sure the needy get the food they need? Like theyd rather blight and lock down trash food instead of sending it to food banks. Im not sure Mamdani's state grocers will do as much as he would like but its better than wholly free markets.

my wife's boss has a son who takes latin and plays magic at summer camp. i gifted him the promo raging kavu and he wrote me this note, ft a handprinted and meticulously trimmed pair of magic cards. the kids are alright.
For all the TMNT and Marvel this year we get Darksteel Angel and Grandma Gobby and Nivea and just... so much for the Magic Boomers to enjoy.
Oh wow... this is so awesome. This art was made in 1999 for Magic and just sat dormant for so long.. like we get this AND Darksteel Angel in the same year. My old nostalgia ridden heart ❤️

So my Tuesday playgroup has been talking about and kinda gushing about the MBC Cards which is awesome cuz it means they will be treated like normal card in that group.... I was worried they'd treat them as un-cards. That means when I get Yume I can play her <3
OMG Yume will finally let "Tempt with Bunnies" work for me because I can be like "Look if you pay one into it you'll draw a card and it becomes Draw 2 make a 1/1 for me unless you also want a bunny and a another card" Like yall I am genuinely so excited by Yume I am feeling emotions.
Gosh Yume is so perfect as a commander for me because it has me approaching each card choice on its political implications in game. Like card evaluations become "When can I sell this, who can I sell it to and how?" which is so quintessentially me
Imagine selling Phyrexian Rebirth as a good idea to your opponents lol.... like giga brained Yume plays right here. But seriously... don't add this one, no one will help you pay for it.
Hugmonger - The Splice Of Life@hugmonger.bsky.social · 2d agoSo I am seeing 6 decks for Yume on EDHRec and it looks like folks are taking other Mono-White lists and adding Yume to the top. But you should build into a commander more. Like no one is helping you cast Avacyn, but they might help you cast Wrath of God or Damping Sphere.
