Hugo did a new walk today and he can confirm it was fabulous! Loads of grassy paths, woods, tall ferns to race through and a few logs to jump over and on. He’s proper pooped now!

He’s wearing his new martingale collar. We think we made a bit of a mistake in the sizing and it has a massive big silver hoop for his lead and looks like he’s wearing some sort of neckerchief. It is nice a soft and thick so better weight distribution on his neck.

Hugo was crazy for running around this morning. He really likes racing along the grassy paths with tall bracken on either side, it’s like the Formula 1 of Schnauzering for Hugo. He enjoyed some natures cocktail from a stream and of course refused the water we took with us for him.

Hi! Hugo here, I’m a black and silver (ish) miniature schnauzer. I’m stood on the mossy remains of a tree in my forest. I’m looking off to the side and there are trees behind me.

We’ve had a heatwave where I live so I’ve been on early morning boring walks, but today it was cooler so I got to go to my Forest and it was AWESOME! I had such a fantastic time. So much running about and exploring! I was a really good boy with my recall as well. Happy days!

It’s me, Hugo, I’m sat on some grass next to some flowers and there are some dried up eucalyptus leaves on the ground. We thought of our Aussie pals when we saw the eucalyptus trees 🧡🇦🇺.

I’m looking up at my hudad who is taking this picture of me on his phone. I might be panting with my tongue out, but I’m actually smiling because I’m having the best time and I’m looking at my hudad who I love very, very much.

I had a groom yesterday and I’m a bit worried my eyebrows are different lengths, oh dear, I can’t go round with eyebrows that aren’t symmetrical, talk about schnauzer shame! 😳🤭

I’m on my walk this morning in the New Forest.

I’m stood on the trunk of a fallen tree, side on to the camera, looking behind my left shoulder with my tongue out.

In front of the tree trunk is bracken and a purple foxglove. Behind are more ferns and trees. The Forest was looking very lush today, with recent rain and warm weather.

I had a really great walk this morning, so much adventuring. We took Miss Xev’s mum’s advice and tried an all organic and natural anti tick spray and we think it worked a bit, only 2 on me after my walk.

Looking forward to a snooze now.

@siggyschnauzer.bsky.social this is the Doxies recipe. My Humum just guessed amounts and used doggy peanut butter, 1 banana and Greek yoghurt, blended it all until smooth. It was quite a thick consistency like pre baked sponge cake.

They’re easy to make. Mom blends plain yogurt, a banana, a tablespoon of honey and a couple tablespoons of peanut butter together. Then pour it into mini muffin tins and freeze. You can put other things in too like berries or whatever you like. Think your Mom needs to make you some.😋❤️

Today folks I’ve been to #Dogstival. It’s a festival for dogs with stalls and activities and so many toys and treatos. I had a go at scent work and the zoomie ground zip wire, met some pals too. 🧡 #SchnauzerGang #DogsofBluesky

In front of him is the top of a wall with blue bricks and on them is a home made frosty paw, a frozen treat for dogs. The Super Doxies introduced Frosty Paws to Hugo and he says he will be forever grateful.

The frosty paw is made of banana, Greek yoghurt and dog friendly peanut butter. It’s important to use peanut butter that has no Xylitol in it, as this is highly toxic to dogs, so always buy the dog friendly stuff! *end of pawblic service announcement*
