Rob Hosking - The Unspoken Cost Of Staying Silent
In this episode I sit down with Rob Hosking, a former police officer turned motivational speaker. Rob shares his first-hand experience of burnout in the police force, the mental toll of witnessing daily trauma, and how the rigid, hyper-masculine culture around him made vulnerability feel impossible. He speaks candidly about the moment he almost ended his life, the unexpected reason he didn’t, and how he’s now using his experience to help others navigate their struggles. This episode is a raw, honest, and important conversation about the cost of silence, the need for a new definition of masculinity, and why the next generation of men deserves better role models.

Why Tea Makes Your Brain Feel Different #psychiatry #ltheanine
This video explains the neuroscience of tea, including L-theanine, EGCG, catechins, inflammation, cognition and brain health. Filmed in the tea plantations of Munnar, Kerala, Dr Sanil Rege explores why tea may do more than simply deliver caffeine. Different types of tea — black, oolong, green and white — vary in harvesting and processing, but many of their proposed health effects are linked to polyphenols, catechins, flavonoids, EGCG and L-theanine. The video covers how tea compounds may influence inflammation, cardiovascular risk, metabolic function, insulin resistance, neuroprotection and cognition. It also explores why L-theanine is of particular interest in neuroscience, including its possible effects on serotonin, dopamine, BDNF, neuroinflammation and NMDA-related mechanisms involved in learning and long-term potentiation.
