Earlier this year I said I wanted to get weirder with my art. This is still true, but I kinda didn't know where I wanted to go with it until recently.
Bad tooth chipped even further. Got a root canal happening on Wednesday finally. I can't wait to be able to chew slightly harder foods again.
I'm really happy with the new painting not just because of how it turned out, but I found a really comfortable rhythm with the workflow. I feel like I had a lot of control and I was able to work fast as well since I cut down the amount of brushes I used. Felt really nice.

i'm firmly of the belief that everyone should have a creative hobby. even if you aren't "good" at it. it keeps your critical thinking skills engaged, it reminds you that you're still capable of learning and growing and improving at things, it helps you connect to other people. you gotta make stuff!
Avoiding social media is great for my mental health but sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on important things. News comes and goes so quickly that if I'm gone for even a few days I never see it. I kinda just have to trust that people in my life will share things with me if it's important.

Tooth has finally chipped to critical levels so I can't hold off on the dentist anymore and I know insurance won't cover what I need done. I also have a new move starting within a couple weeks. I'm in for a bit of a rough time.
Head is getting increasingly clear, difficult emotions flow through more easily. The side effect I didn't expect: dreams so powerful that I experience an entire week over the course of a single dream. Haven't had that since High School.
I'm finally running into the limits of what my computer can do as far as working efficiently. Working with heavy rigs that drain performance. I know enough about animation I can work partially blind, but having to playblast to preview takes more time than just seeing it all in realtime.
