Another amazing scifi book review for The Wrecking Squad. Thank you @iain-benson-author.bsky.social for the 5🔥feedback. Tempted by an Aliens meets The Expanse (with a touch of Firefly) then check the review. More info in the book: books2read.com/wreckingsquad/ #scifibooks #scifi #booksky
I'm about to travel. It's Sunday 13:15. I expect to arrive on Monday at 19:45... I have three books. Hopefully this will be enough.
First line/last line of my newest scifi release The Wrecking Squad. #booksky #scifibooksky #scifibooks 💙😃🪐
It's been out a year, read by over a hundred people, but while converting Jack & Jill to a TV Script I've noticed a typo, getting my main character's name wrong. I will spend a week in writer penance for this. Forgive me.
On release day I always breathe a sigh of relief before diving back into the next project. One little Faux Pas is available. If you're after a cosy, funny dark comedy thriller with retirees as the MCs with vibes of One Foot in the Grave... I've got your back
Free #scifibook #scifi #book anyone? This is a short novella with huge impact.
So-want a FREE #scifi novella? The origin story of The Wrecking Crew? Well you can get it by subscribing to my newsletter. Of course, you can unsub as soon as you want-there’s always a button. To get your FREE novella (and The Lost Squad) click the link www.nicksnape.com/subscribe 💙📚🪐 #scifibooks
I'm so fed up with waiting for my books to magically appear on TV, I'm turning Jack & Jill into a TV script. It might be a woke and raunchy for the BBC, plus it calls out their transphobia, so I'll send it to Channel 4 🤣
I recently got back into song writing and I decided to create one for my next book...

Here's a little song about 1995 to raise interest in my book set then.

Searching for inspiration for character names, and wondering how I conjured Kim Clarke, and her boss, Dyson....
It has been decided by my youngest, my next book is a zombie apocalypse thriller called CTRL-Z.

Demon's Edge, my fantasy thriller, has been nominated for best indie fantasy by Nuggets. If I'm not too come last I'll need a few people to pop over to the link and vote for me. I'm currently in talks with an unnamed billionaire to give all people who vote a million quid.

My next book is on my mind. 1. The last London book 2. The third Louise Sargant book 3. A sci-fi thriller about precogs 4. A zombie thriller 5. A gothic ghost story Hmm... Choices choices.
I can sit back and relax for a little while. Faux Pas is with my editor for the final proof before I start looking for ARC readers. I will spend the next 3 weeks trying to write a blurb. The hard bit 🤣
Today it's snowing. So, with "Do you want to build a snowman?" echoing around my head, I've snuggled under a blanket and cracked on with editing. It's almost ready to pass to my editor, finally. She's been bugging me for it since last year
It's Dark Mode Stuff Your Kindle Day! Don't miss out 🖤
Tomorrow begins the Twixmas Days. Those of us fortunate to be off work are entering The Long Dark Teatime Of The Soul.
Merry Christmas As a Christmas present I've joined the Fireside Book Cafe (debbie52767.wixsite.com/fireside-boo...) Stuff your Kindle event with Half-Baked Mummies, Royal Again and Jack & Jill all free until the 28th. Namaste.
I've been struggling to identify all the squares with traffic lights, slide the picture complete or even tick that little box. I'm worried I may be a robot.
Anybody else leave cookies, carrots and milk it for the Amazon delivery people at Christmas? No? Just me then.
DESERTHAUS DAY FOUR: There are not enough bookcases and the dishwasher dates from the Eisenhower administration. Farewell, sweet book advance! You are going to a better place.
My favourite joke in my current WIP wouldn't work in film or even audiobook... “What does ‘Nique la police!’ mean?” Stuart asked. Alexia’s eye twitched. “It’s not complementary, and it’s pronounced ‘nique’.” “Nique?” Stuart said. Alexia shook her head. “No. Nique.”
It's bedtime. I've eaten a big wedge of cheese. Tonight's dream has big shoes to fill, after last night's securing the office against a zombie attack.
Working through draft 2 of my WIP, replacing the [needs emotion], [describe this], [senses!], [Put joke here], [Need a better reason why she wouldn't just go home] and realising why past me did that. It takes the same length of time as writing the first draft. Past me was a lazy dick.
