Did a quick drawing of what Martin would look like at age 13 (when he was drafted) for a short chapter I just wrote. In the world of VHA: you get drafted into the Great Lakes Reclamation Campaign at age 13. Compared to his 17 year old self: he's less chiseled, cuter, and his antlers are smaller.
The mall is still pretty good. The cars have too many computer (and not enough leg room), though.
Ok, it's laminated and on the work fridge. Will my co-workers be able to figure out that the long haired, backwards hat wearing, ferret with gloves is me? Picture below is of me for comparison, albeit I'm out of uniform here ("Bluey" tank tops are, regrettably, not considered proper work attire).

Yukio Mishima is one of, if not, my favorite author (not because of the stupid nationalism stuff, but because of his stupefying level of commitment) and "The Amazing Digital Circus" had me wretching in minutes at its shallow, pandering nature. So comics like this are spiritually devastating.

A fun game you can play is to use a search engine to see what anime characters match your height and weight (thanks also to the Japanese habit of including these measurements in official design documentation). As a proud older brother myself, though, you'll never get better results than me:
Sign I made for work today, I'll color it soon (hopefully), but, for now, I have to rest my hand after even this miniscule amount of inking. Recovering from an RSI is boring and takes forever.
Been dealing with an increasingly severe case of anhedonia, but I keep ploddin' along on my comic (16% of ch. 2 is now colored). I also have a notebook where I keep my school and gym notes; stuck a sticker on there to remind me why I'm doing all this stuff (I will adopt kids or die trying).
"Suggested Work Apparel" for Michigan outdoor work shifts today. I look like I'm going out to scavenge in the Ashen Lands or something.

My notes are comprised of: -Math (I learned how to convert binary last week, it's genuinely a really neat, elegant little system) - Robotics stuff -"What makes these characters cute, and how do I make them cuter?"
The Robot Lab is 80° today (indoors everywhere seems to be today), so I'm taking a quick break to post the finished page (finished yesterday at a different 80° facility with robots):

For the first 2-3 years I had both amateurs and professionals tell me that big, elaborate pages for a webcomic was "pretentious," and "a waste or time." And that the only thing that would ever "make money" was 3-4 panel daily strips...

Did a few quick test panels to make sure that my color scheme looked nice and didn't take wayyyy too long. Four panels later: I think I got the look! This is just a photo from my phone, but this will look extra spiff once it's scanned, lettered, and posted~
My dad worked on the YF-23 fighter jet, so I drew one for Father's Day. Only two YF-23's were ever made, as it ultimately lost the JSF (Joint Strike Fighter) competition to the F22 in 2001. I was 13 at the time, and I remember my dad being really bummed about it. It really is a beautiful plane.
