Nerd clobberer at Rowan Rook & Decard.
Properly chuckled at my own notes today.
Are any of you going to GenCon? We could say hi, IF YOU CAN FIND ME.
I took a look today at the Children of Time RPG quickstart and holy crap is it intelligently designed, beautifully rendered, and very clever. It’s not a traditional RPG, but I think it would be a really fun storytelling experience with the right group. rowanrookanddecard.com/announcing-c...

The longer you look at this 'full English breakfast' the more questions you'll have.
UKGE is well over so I can FINALLY tell you what really happened... First! 📚The Haul🎒 from our very own tastemakers (including Maz's from the paper fair that they were incredibly excited about)
So I am gonna be running Arkyvr, the Mothership hack where you play a film crew trying to (mostly) film a normal documentary about people working on space stations and stuff, with obvious hilarious consequences. For those unfamiliar: alewoodgames.itch.io/arkyvr

Equipped with only your camera gear, expose corporate atrocities while surviving the void’s unspeakable horrors.

UKGE 2026: Post Con Deconstruction
With one more UKGE under our belt - the sixth, I think? Covid made it hard to count - it seems like a good moment to share some of our stats and talk about how we run the convention. There’s a growing...

In our house we have long used Google home for controlling our lights, checking our calendar and the weather. Nothing fancy. Recently it switched over to using Gemini, and my feelings about this are complex. We'll probably move to something more open source long-term. But also it's utter shit.
Here's what we've been playing at RRD 🧵 (punishments if staff don't have one of our own fuckin games on the list)
Share the last 4 TTRPGs you played and expose your gaming habits (Or don't. I'm not a cop) Brindlewood Bay Wildsea D&D Dread
The other day someone posted in an FLGS Discord I am in asking for assistance making Transformers characters in 5e. I asked if they had tried the Transformers RPG. They hadn't heard of it and immediately asked the FLGS to order them a copy. Sometimes it is that easy.
Either this a strange name for a clothing store, or siege appropriate clothing is about to get much more accessible where I live. I do live in a 2000 year old fortress town, so there is some hope.
Get Elaine a cookie, it's the right thing to do.
The CoT campaign currently has 1,950 followers. If it hits 2,000 followers before the end of the day I get a cookie. You wouldn't deprive me of a cookie, would you? www.backerkit.com/call_to_acti...
Sometimes RPG books get in the way of good RPG texts so much I want to hit someone with the book. There's a growing amount of stuff I like the idea of but wouldn't run (or maybe run again) because the book is just a hot nightmare.
More films need fluidly diegetic/non-diegetic spooky organ music justified by the main character being a total babe who plays the organ. It's an underused trope.
I'm at the asmodee booth. I'm at the combination asmodee booth & asmodee booth. I don't see you here dog.
I'm looking for some extra work and would be very interested in any part-time or contract gigs that could make use of my writing, editing, and project management experience. Creative work, research and reporting, consulting; I am happy to do it all. Email: chasewritesthing [at] gmail DMs open here!
I’m curious if any other TTRPGs have been published tête-bêche…
OUTLAWS X CORPORATIONS is a book in conflict with itself. Printed in a unique tête-bêche format, the book is split into two opposing halves, one concerned with freedom and the other control. Live Now on BackerKit: www.backerkit.com/c/projects/s... Read More 👇
This is the funniest thing I have seen in some time.
The thing is, once Cthulhu has a statblock you can kill it with a dagger, or a shotgun, or by pushing it down enough stairs. Stop it.
Decided to go check in Traveller 5e now it's in stretch goal territory. Glad to see we have unlocked erm, character sheets. Those are really going to enhance the experience of playing versus not having them.
The response to all of this is interest because a lot of people are talking about this campaign as if it is wildly successful, but actually it is yet to reach 800 people. That isn't a huge number. This is successfully extracting a lot of cash from a relatively small number of people.
ttrpg world and the larger hobby game world: reckoning with crowdfunding smoke and mirrors and having frank discussions about what it takes to make art on these platforms and artificial funding goals traveller 5e: lol www.backerkit.com/c/projects/w...
There is a lot to unpack with Traveller 5e, and lots of people are doing that. I'm just going to talk about a little bit of that's a little slice of me browsing the page went. Our story starts here, with some cool tokens. I am actually a sucker for stuff like this.
I think today of all days we should just let the trans people have their KitKats.
I dunno about you, but I think something is up with the language settings on this ad.
