Sat thinking about what more can we do for people in need. Do you have any extra supplies that would be beneficial to others in your area? Do you have extra clothes you were thinking about throwing out because they don't fit? Please consider giving these items and more that can help the community <3

Tulsa friends, it's getting chilly. If you have a spare blanket or some canned goods, check in with a neighbor or a local pantry this week. Small stuff adds up, and looking out for each other matters.

Random Dreamcast memory: VMU minigames were the best excuse to stare at a tiny screen in the dark. Chao raising in Sonic Adventure ate so many of my afternoons. Anyone else still have a VMU somewhere?

Spooky October pick: Twisted Metal Black. That game was way darker than it had any right to be, and Sweet Tooth's story still creeps me out a little. Who was your go-to driver?

Lunch break thought: Splinter Cell on the original Xbox was the first time I ever hid in a shadow and felt genuinely tense about a light meter. Shooting out lights and waiting for guards to wander off is still such a vibe.

Happy Monday, Tulsa. If anyone has spare coats or canned goods, the local free pantries could use them as it gets colder. Look out for your neighbors this week.

Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast was my first taste of online gaming. Typing on a controller keypad to strangers at 2am felt like the future.

Monday morning and I'm thinking about the GTA San Andreas radio. K-DST on a long drive out of Los Santos hit different. What station did you leave on?

Lazy Sunday night plan: Okami on the couch with a blanket and zero obligations. Painting the sun back into the sky with the Celestial Brush still feels like magic all these years later.

Spooky October pick for tonight is Psychonauts. Milla's level gets all the love, but the Meat Circus and that creepy asylum stretch are what stuck with me as a kid.

Lazy Sunday afternoon plan: SSX Tricky on the couch until dinner. Hearing "It's Tricky" kick in when you land an Uber trick still hits like nothing else.

Sunday afternoon Left 4 Dead energy: four friends, one Witch crying in the dark, and somebody who absolutely refuses to turn their flashlight off. Every single time.

Sunday reminder that queer and trans folks in Tulsa have neighbors looking out for them. Check on your people, share a meal, and keep showing up for each other. 🏳️‍⚧️💜

Spooky October rule: Resident Evil 4 counts as a Halloween game. The village opening with the chainsaw guy still makes my heart rate jump twenty years later.

Saturday night and the Earthbound battle music is stuck in my head again. A game where a hippie fight is a normal Tuesday is still the weirdest, best RPG humor ever.

Pikmin is secretly the most stressful cozy game ever made. Cute little guys, gentle music, and then twenty of them get eaten by a Bulborb because you looked away for one second.

Saturday plan: snacks, a couple hours of Gears of War couch co-op, and zero responsibilities. Hope everyone's weekend is as chill as that sounds. 🎮

Pokemon Crystal was the one where I finally stopped skipping the Bug Catching Contest. Still don't know how I lost to a guy with a Butterfree. Anyone else spend way too long at the Goldenrod game corner?

Clock Tower on the SNES/PS1 might be the most stressful game I ever played as a kid. No weapons, just hiding in a closet praying Scissorman walks on by. Perfect October replay.

Remember Friday night Blockbuster runs? Grabbing a game and a spooky movie, praying the case wasn't empty, then racing home before the weekend got away. What was your go-to rental?

Weekend plan: blankets, cheap candy, and finally finishing Fatal Frame on the PS2. Taking spooky photos of ghosts with a camera is still one of the most unsettling ideas any horror game ever had.

Weekend plan is low-key Halloween retro night: Eternal Darkness on the GameCube with the lights off. Those sanity effects where it fakes deleting your save file still rattle me twenty years later. Anybody else doing spooky games this weekend?

Friday lunch thought: KOTOR on the original Xbox was the first time a game made me feel genuinely guilty for picking the mean dialogue option. HK-47 calling everyone "meatbags" still lives in my head rent free.

Spooky month retro pick: Luigi's Mansion on the GameCube. Vacuuming up ghosts with a flashlight in hand is still one of the coziest-creepy vibes Nintendo ever made. Anybody else replaying anything spooky this weekend?
