The production of JEWEL OF THE NILE was almost like ARGO, as Michael Douglas tells it:

Michael Douglas talks becoming a viable leading man on 'Romancing the Stone' — and about its troublesome sequel 'Jewel of the Nile.'

With nothing factual to point to, I feel like the Rams are involved in more “great games” than any other NFL team
"Second overtime of the day. Will this one have a winner?" Mike Tirico is the best
Was that a jinx? That may have been a jinx 😬

Lions 3 for 3 on 4th downs. Mentioned this in my day-after column last week. Lions are at their best pushing the aggressiveness. Going for it on 4th downs, playing man. They'll lose some, but good that they're back to it today. You can tell the difference. And it helps refs letting DBs play

No reason to panic, I suppose, but Lions need to re-sign Sam LaPorta
JM =^D@jm539581.bsky.social · 2d agoLions convert 4th and 1 ... and Sam LaPorta scores a touchdown.
Oklahoma beats No. 1 Texas after losing to Michigan earlier in the season. College football makes all kinds of sense this year.
Guessing Joe Rossi will not put this on any head coaching tape...

Why do I even watch football, man? * What a painful weekend. * As a fan, not for work
Lions' defense making Bryce Young look like Drew Brees right now. And they're sending Tetairoa McMillan to the Pro Bowl based on this game.
I have spent most of the past 24 hours wondering if I've fallen into this. Because I don't believe I used to be this reactionary when it came to coaches (and QBs)
Chris Vannini@chrisvannini.com · last wk.Sunday Thoughts: It feels like half of CFB is having an existential crisis. So many people want to fire their coach, even some with a good record and some with a new coach. Feels like we're in an unhealthy cycle and a weird place mentally. Almost nobody can sustain anything w/ so much change.
You can’t pay everybody and maybe the Lions have run into that point. However, Sam LaPorta would be a huge loss for the Lions. To me, it’s not the coincidence that the offense had issues when LaPorta was injured. Not panic time, but maybe a little clenching
Ian Rapoport@rapsheet.bsky.social · last wk.The Lions and star TE Sam LaPorta broke off contract talks after several weeks of discussions, as a deal did not come together as hoped. As of now, he'll be a free agent in 2027.
Just saw that Florida-Missouri score

I’m a Michigan fan because I grew up on that campus and spent most of my life in Ann Arbor. But nothing makes me prouder to be an Iowa alum than the Hawkeye Wave.
Hoo boy. Minnesota gets one every few years, which gives the Brown Jug rivalry some juice. But it is rough for Michigan righrt now. That offense is a mess.
End of the first half was bad by both Michigan and Minnesota. Woof

Jalen Duren finally made the smart decision, but I kinda hate that the Pistons will pay him $40M per season.
Omari Sankofa II@omarisankofa.bsky.social · 2w agoCan confirm Jalen Duren has signed a fully-guaranteed five-year, $200 million extension with the Pistons. His restricted free agency comes to an end.
I was trendy and didn't even know it, often showering with the bathroom lights off. (Usually not pitch-dark, since there's a window.) Just seemed like a less harsh way to become more awake. Never considered cortisol or whatever...
