My Kind of Town has wrapped in St. Andrew's! What a week. We've filmed with charities, learned about the history of the town and university. I also tried some #golf. While we've not been filming, I've tried to brush up on some darts and pool #standrews #history #flying #scotland
For our latest filming, I spoke to a man was a pilot at RAF Leuchars. I got an aircraft tour of the St. Andrew's area, but when our cameraman came to do extra shots, for some reason he wanted a professional pilot and not me #Scotland #mykindoftownscotland #aircraft #flying
I have a connection to #StAndrews. Danny Rooney met one of my own previous #guidedogs! He met Renton, a German Shepherd I had, and was inspired to become a puppy raiser. Great to meet him and Sultan and I hope he goes on to become a great working dog for someone #dog #scotland
Before coming to St. Andrew's, I thought it was all history, education, and golf. But there is another side here that students and tourists don't see. I met some people who are making a difference to those experiencing hard times #mykindoftownscotland #scotland #standrews #scottish #BBCScotland
Our second full day of filming in St. Andrew's is done. We delved into the history of this ancient Fife town, finding out about its origins around religion and education. I walked on a road that thousands of pilgrims took here #mykindoftownscotland #scotland #history #scottishhistory #fife #religion
This year, St. Andrew’s is My Kind of Town! Here’s the start of our filming. It started with me being abandoned in blazing sunshine with no water. So far, so good… youtube.com/shorts/TDWX2...

Imagine a World Cup where every country had to wear one item of national dress.
It would certainly give the tournament a different kind of flair.

In this year’s Commonwealth Games, there are more medals available for parasport than in any other previous Games. 47 are up for grabs. I met one hopeful, wheelchair racer from Team Scotland, Melanie Woods #scotland #Glasgow #glasgow2026 #commonwealthgames #sport

In the '80s, I travelled blind with no tech, just instinct. Today, GPS and apps are everywhere, yet somehow the nerves still come along for the ride. Read this week’s blog.https://open.substack.com/pub/ihamilton/p/the-great-british-leap-of-faith-navigating?r=2loqbe&utm_medium=ios
