Co-host of the Film Basterds podcast. F1 fan. And films. Obviously. X profile gone and replaced with some guy I don’t know. Probably a nazi?

First time watch of The Amityville Horror. It takes an age to get going, a demon steals $1500 for no real reason and then big George barely even tries to murder his family. And it’s 2 hours long. Not great but the pig in the window bit is a good scare.

Big fan of Digger. It’s bold, messy as all fuck but it ta never boring and looks phenomenal. If you’re not buying what it’s selling I bet its nails on chalkboard but I was. Cruise very good, Ahmed fucking ace.

A 173 minute doc from Nathan Fielder on Elizabeth Holmes sounds incredibly for a chunk of people and absolutely fucking not for me, I cannot vibe with the energy of that teaser at all, wow.

GTA 6 looks very good and I also have zero interest in it taking over my life, that fucker will be responsible for a lot of arguments around Christmas this year. Also the cover and shooting mechanics look like they haven’t evolved since Gears of War.

The Mourinho doc series is 3 hours of “we believed in him and we won things and then things that weren’t his fault messed it up or he left when he wanted to” rinsed and repeated with the last 15 mins trying to ask him tougher questions and him saying he doesn’t want to talk about it. Great.

Finished 007: First Light today. If it were a Bond film it would be in the top 5 for me. Patrick Gibson is tremendous, there some terrific plot beats and despite a final half hour that doesn’t have the best gameplay it sets us up for an exciting new path on Bond stories. Great supporting cast too.

Watched Excalibur for the first time, probably the last also. Was really into the “what the fuck is happening?” of it all until the last act when I thought it fell off a fucking cliff despite some brilliantly weird armour for the bad guy. 141 minutes and a long 141 minutes but it looked ace.

Also the Dune Part 3 Prologue… gritty as fuck and looks like it’s going to go for the jugular. Maybe a weird bit to show out of context from the rest but one image in particular ruled.

Seeing The Odyssey again next weekend. Need another crack at it, just like I seem to with every Nolan before I love them. Immense in imax 70mm, but I hope I like Holland’s performance more next time round. The stuff shot in Iceland the highlight for me but the Morton bit is terrific and the last…

The instant pile on of Tuchel reminds me why football brings out the worst in people waaaaaay more than discussed. Looking forward to Reform using this somehow in the months ahead, well done everyone.

I just paid money for a Secret Screening. The only way I’d have paid money to see Pinocchio Unstrung but you know what? Is it shit? Yes. Of course. Did I enjoy more of it than expected? Also yes. Pretty decent kills and a level of “fuck it” to any sense of plot made it a doable 82 minutes.
