Inouye Solar Telescope, features as small as 19 km across can be resolved. The wispy things are magnetic field boundaries formed by Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities. The island of Ireland for scale.
Anyway, the kids fed themselves during my delay so I'm going to make myself a big steak sandwich.

It had the lot, mysterious delays, passenger alarms up ahead, slow trundling and then hilariously the destination changed and I had to get off at the station before mine and wait for another train. An absolute classic of the genre.

The problem with Kemi Badenoch is that she genuinely won't think she's said anything wrong this morning. Hopefully some Tory councillors might stand up and complain but I doubt that will happen either.

The girl went to see The Odyssey tonight. She said she enjoyed it, but I'm just amazed how far she's come since she used to wander off half way through a Peppa Pig episode.
I'm fortunately watching Bolero at the Proms on my own as the OH would be positively swooning over the conductor.
I'd forgotten how boring the first half hour or so of Superman was. All the Brando bits are rubbish as well.

The boy was working at a Kooks gig in Greenwich tonight - he's just got home and I may have used 'indie landfill' to describe them. I honestly wouldn't be able to sing any of their songs but they were celebrating 20 years in front of 15,000 people tonight so fair play to them.
