Not only is "Thinking Machines" the name of a AI lab making open weight models in 2026, but also one that made super computers in the 1980s. Like the big red CM-5 that featured in Jurassic Park.

Updating My Astro v1.5.0 Blog to v7 with Opencode

My Astro blog had long been neglected, so I used Opencode to update it

Since writing this I've used Opencode with Deepseek to migrate two of my early astro sites from 1.5.0 -> v7. Not complex by any means but something I wouldn't have attempted without it.

The agents are on to me.

A linkedin message: "Hey lan, thanks for connecting. That trick of pointing a coding agent at your wallowing Astro sites to jump them to v7 is exactly the unglamorous work agents are best at. Since you're comfortable handing them real jobs: have you ever thought about letting one run your Linkedln, the outreach and replies, not just the code?"

100% agree with this. I don't know why anyone would want an LLM putting words in their mouth.

Under no circumstance would I be using an LLM to communicate on my behalf. Human interactions belong to me.
