Heaven knows perfectly well that Azi doesn't want the end of the world; their real plan is definitely to set him up. When he gets to Heaven, they'll lock the poor guy in a basement.
I wonder how long it takes for a beard to grow this long? A week? Does Aziraphale spend a week in heaven before returning again?
My conspiracy theory is that the Aziracrow couldn't stay separated for the entire quarantine; Aziraphale went to Crowley's apartment to wake him up because he got bored without his demon at home.
If the bookstore burned down again, was that before or after (maybe after it was rebuilt like in season 1)? I don't know, I'm lost.
So Crowley shaves his beard because of Aziraphale; the angel must have told him at some point that he prefers him clean-shaven.

The first scene of the first season shows Crowley after he has already fallen, as a demon. The first scene of the second season shows Crowley before his fall, as an angel. The first scene of the third season/movie will be Crowley falling, trust me
