Emerging conversations around the San Diego Islamic Center attack, as well as several recent school shootings, have included claims or implications that autism itself is linked to violent extremism. Too often, these narratives drift toward fear and blame of autistic individuals.
The April 20, 1999 Columbine High School attack remains a critical reference point for understanding school shootings and their evolution, including connections to Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE).
Recent threats and offline activity in Nashville is raising concerns about the January 22nd anniversary of the Antioch High School shooting. -In December 2025, a local Nashville school was the victim of a hack that doxxed a student and revealed their 764-associated activities.
