The modern world did require a much more vengeful hand. When Steve was frozen, he missed out on a hell of a lot. Some things had gotten better, but just as from the beginning of time, if you peeled back those layers you’d find the ugly monsters pulling the strings behind the scenes. —

Spider-Man was caught off guard mainly because a hero from the past showed up to help him, though he wasn’t one to complain with a bit of help. Shifting he shot web in the face of a guy running at him, pulling him closer with a swift tug, slamming his fist into the chin of the attacker. +

Steve followed suit —- leading with a boot covered heel. The star spangled shield in his hand flew through the air, smacking domes and weapons from the arms of their attackers, Hydra splinter cell agents —- wanting to bring back the glorious crusade.

“Lucky you, Cap. I’m in the pokin’ mood.” He took his final swig, then leapt out the Helicopter. He started to free fall for a hundred or so feet, then dropped on to the scene. The foes immediately swarmed him and he wasted no time slicing and dicing. Cap was free to jump in whenever he wanted.
