In Q2, WWE's live events segment reports $152M, down from $185.7M in the same quarter last year. The decrease is due to lower ticket sales revenue, "almost exclusively related to WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, compared to the prior year."

Imagine AEW running Swerve vs Joe at Revolution this year, building to it for a few weeks as both men desperately trying to get back to the top, only for a returning Jericho to be added right before the bell rings and for him to win in. Summerslam just did essentially that.

For all of my complaining, tonight is a fantastic example of why people need to stop differentiating women’s wrestling from men’s wrestling. Mercedes/Maya and Thekla/SLK weren’t just “amazing women’s matches”, they were phenomenal matches.

It has just clicked that there are more death rider (+adjacent) matches on AEW Forbidden Door than WOMENS matches despite Stardom being formally announced this year. Death Riders are the real partner promotion.

Forbidden Door being a “triple main event” while excluding the AEW World Championship match between AEW and a big Stardom player is kind of crap. The only world title match is relegated to the mid card and frankly, deserves elevation over the men’s world championship if it’s not being defended.

It took four hours for the Grant lawsuit to start moving to arbitration for people to publicly say Vince should come back to WWE. What a fucking sad day for the industry and accountability (zero shade to Grant who has been in a battle for years)

AEW releasing football jersey styled merch ahead of the World Cup is very cool but it begs the question, why would you release these 24 hours before the tournament and not a month ago???
