#HistScaleModels #scalemodels Yesterday I also finished this monster of a plane. No clue why i thought SU-47 would be about as big as Mig-29. Its bigger than Mig-31 >.< RIP my shelf space. Also since it is rather big, i had quite a struggle trying to make photos of reasonable quality
#HistScaleModels L-29 Delfín. A jet trainer that won comparative trials of Warsaw Pact countries against soviet Jak-30 and polish TS-11 Iskra. After, it was selected to become standard jet trainer for the air forces of Warsaw pact. Manufactured by Czechoslovak aviation manufacturer Aero Vodochody.
Disaster struck. Tried to apply varnish coat of a new bottle from Tamiya. It was poorly thinned, tried to act quickly and lessen damadge... but too little. x.x

#HistScaleModels Dolphin main colors and transfers are done. There were some mistakes of mine but so far its pleasant kit to build. (L-29 Delfín in 1/72 from Eduard - Slovak International fighter pilots academy) Considering getting KP version, for other slovak scheme 🇸🇰
#HistScaleModels Main colors on L-29 mostly done. I almost undone all my progress with poorly thinned fuselage color, but it worked in the end. Also a new kit entered my bench, to give me something simpler to work on.

Saturday SitRep: 1/48 Academy Ukraine MiG-29 UB build. Although pleased with the heavily used weathering, the colour shifting in the paint caught me off guard. Not matching the intended tone but got the sunbleach abuse alright - Will assess further 🤔 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

And now masked some more and did blue areas. Next one will be red areas and then fuselage second coat with light ghost grey + black anti-glare nose area

#HistScaleModels Cockpit done. Sanity barely preserved😅 Will attempt to weight the nose down a bit more. Right now its 3 lead 4,5mm pellets.
#HistScaleModels And wrapping up the Aeromacchi MB-339AM in Malaysian service (in 1/72 from Kovozávody Prostějov). Even tho the kit wasnt the most polished and snug fitting, I dare say it did end up as a nice addition to my growing collection of jet trainers. 🫡
Few last bits added and ... voilá. Mig-19S in 1/72 scale from Směr. First ever model that I made in flying pose. It was budget, sometimes hilariously clumsy kit. But I found it great fun to make. #HistScaleModels
Aeromacchi MB-339 in Malaysian service. And Mig-19 in soviet era Bulgarian service. Now just peeling off the masking tape and adding landing gear for MB-339 and pitot tube + stand for Mig. #HistScaleModels
Mig and Aeromacchi main paint schemes done. Time to varnish and decal/transfer. *and some more small bits Managed to make neater airbrush transitions by using less thinned paint combined with less pressure. (I dont have neat airbrush nozzle so improvisation was the mood) #HistScaleModels
Not super happy with my work on MB-339. Tried to do neater lines by airbrush. (freehand) I may try to mix the light brown again and respray the areas. Mig, once again. Not the neatest job, but the camo consists of thinner patterns and somehow i managed to make the lines neater-ish? #HistScaleModels

But I got myself a new cheap guilty pleasure Směr Mig-19 kit. Its scuffed af and I found it weirdly enjoyable in how "shitty" it is #histscalemodels😅🙃

General assembly done, after reviewing the photos, i decided to do some more of "fine" sanding. Fuselage bottom had a ugly gap (filled). Rudder had not great fit. Wings had troublesome fit. And elevators just didt fit into the guiding slots so i cut the guide things and glued it. 🙃 #histscalemodels

Applied transfers to Iskra and varnish coated the Rafale. Took pictures of both in daylight and must say I'm quite happy so far.
Rafale is shaping up. Applied larger visible transfers (70-80%). Time to seal the de(c)al with varnish :D and ofc then gear and weapons
