I joke about movies and TV shows having a "Black" quota sometimes. Think a black person getting the ax in a horror movie. Or my favorite 2 examples, Predator and Face/Off. I know basically everyone died in Predator but killing 2 two prominent black characters at the same time is crazy work.

Apparently Tom Hardy was Nolan's first choice and I would have loved to see that, BUT... Having learned that Odysseus is described as having brown or dark skin, I'm going to have to go with John David Washington simply because he's worked with Christopher Nolan before.

Can I take a second to ask a stupid question? Does the saying, "all men are pigs' comes from Cerci turning men into pigs to reflect their nature in the Odyssey? I know she doesn't say say in the movie but it really just hit me that this might be the first accounting of that term
I know people really like Ghost Rider but I'ma be honest. He a trash tier character that deserves at best one movie and a TV series. I also don't see the character working in today's context unless they drastically change him. Which is fine. All the MCU characters are different from the comics.

For the first time ever in my movie going career, I've done something stupid. Yesterday I went to see Christopher Nolan's, The Odyssey and I got there. Let's say 5 minutes late but I was in such a rush when I was told what theater to go into the movie was already playing and I just sat and watched.

Look. I may not watch morbius for a second time, and yes, it may be bad, but I don't think a lot of people engage with the Sony movies like they should. I had this revelation while watching Venom. They are B movie creature features. Movies to laugh at as well as with.

Supergirl was a 7.5 for me. I really liked it. It had a lot of emotional depth that I wasn't expecting. The movie is actually a bit on the dour side. I expected Supergirl to be more of a party drunk and was actually more of a sad drunk drowning away her pain. It will go up a point on another watch
#writing question: What happens when you want to put emphasis on the word "the"? Like, you want to have someone say, "This is thee premiere restaurant to go to." Do we just underline it or is there a way to actually spell it differently But thee doesn't mean the. It's a different word altogether.
