I think I might be having a stroke. Coverage on Truxton Extreme is really postive, but I play it and, uh... naaaaah. Are there difficulty modes? Do I have to unlock normal mode? I die because I get bored, not because I'm overwhelmed. I'm not an elite try-hard I swear. I just wanna play the game.
Added a hard mode that basically picks up where "normal" ends. Space is haunted. Letting the player destroy bullets with their jets is how I counter-balance the momentum based movement making shmup style dodging too hard.
Partly a me-problem, but I never experienced this in other games doing similar stuff. But the power-up pickups in Edens Eclipse look like bullets aimed at me to me. It's especially bad when I'm in a dense pattern (not pictured) and focusing (also not pictured.) Kinda sours me on this shmup.
Damn, everyone is talking about that Spolous 2. At this point I feel like I have no excuse not to play this completely free game even if Gradius isn't entirely my jam
who woulda thunk that making games is fun, I keep adding more stuff. All this spiraled out of the basic game maker tutorial to make an asteroids clone and it's barely still recognizable. What I really want is a vertically scrolling shmup eventually, but I'll use this as my sandbox for a bit longer.
Game Maker Adventure continues. I added programmer graphics now, so it stops looking like the tutorial this started as.
When I was a kid, there was this boss in The Guardian Legend that was a real difficulty spike and scary too. Floating face, five eyes. Once all eyes are destroyed, all hell breaks loose and more eyes come out of the eyesockets right at you! It's probably the reason I care about shmups today.
Finished this manga (Blood on the Tracks/Trail of Blood) and it's deeply unsettling emotional horror, despite the pissing scene.

Redneg All Stars is a fun boss rush shmup but, and I never thought I'd say this, the tiddies on this game are unsettling.
More than a decade ago I made music. Found the files, and also found a folder called "Video" and got really scared. I found a 32,2 MB large file in 288i and it's just footage of my brother moving around with glow rings in the dark. Halfway through the text "The End" appears, but it continues.

Finally got the 1cc in ZeroRanger. Been a long time in the making. I had a few attempts when the game came out but somehow I got distracted and only decided recently to try again. It's still one of my favorite shmups. Replay in the replies.
Shmups look cool but... "I don't have the reflexes" Wrong "I don't have the dexterity" Wrong "I don't have the awareness" Wrong "I can't see the future" Wrong "I don't want to experience intense nonstop gameplay" Fair enough. But all the other things can be learned.
I wonder if it'll be like jumping into Season 2 after having watch Season 1 a while back, where I didn't know any of what's going on anymore.

Shmup Music That Goes Bonkers Pt. 1 Steel Rooks (Stage 4) from the Varyznex Soundtrack. I just played this on normal again just to hear it. Yeah, there's a BGM test, I know, but this feels more real. If there's a way to digitally purchase this soundtrack let me know.

I just accidentally went on Twitter and found a post from someone incapable of comprehending jarred sausages not being in the fridge. They put an American flag on the jar and wrote hot dog on it. People with American flag emojis were arguing in the comments about Europeans and their sausage jars.
