So close to finalizing the main modeling just gotta work on her shoes (might make em a texture or actually modeled+textured) , headphones and making sure other small details are up to par.
Managed to do almost the rest of her main body modeling fairly quickly just missing the feet and then I can move on to clothes. Might save the base body/head as a base for future characters that way I can focus on just small details.
I'm continuing my Wave remodel and given this hand comparison alone I'm confident I'm doing better overall so I can't wait to see what she will look like once she's done :) Her old hands are so chunky lol (Old left--> New Right)
It's been a couple of hours with basically no progress idk how 3D animators do it I've scrapped my progress twice because it just looks off and idk all the hows and whys of posing the character and how to do the next one. (posing itself isn't hard more so doing so for animation)
Learning to animate is already hard but in 3D? omg gotta keep track of so much 😭 Guess I gotta start somewhere at least I chose something simple lmao
Might model the clothes separate from her main body that way I or others could make other outfits for her,gotta make sure she looks good without headphones first tho lol

Yk it's interesting that now that I've been seeing more of other's 3D workflow that how I did it was surprisingly spot on despite me doing everything by mashing together several random unrelated tutorials and slowed down modeling videos, even my rigging wasn't that bad.
Been watching a lot of 3D low poly adjacent tutorials so I can continue where I left off and see if I can make 3D a proper secondary thing I do, already learned several things that I feel would have made my first two models a bit better lmao Maybe I'll make a Wave/Verse 2.0 model
I should draw her again sometime, maybe give her a new raincoat, boots and eyeshadow to fit a diff vibe?

I completely glossed over the fact I could just straight up do 2D animation in blender.....I thought it was something else that was experimental to supplement 3D to make it look 2D this changes a lot lmao welp time to learn everything I need to because I DO NOT wanna pay for TB😅
