I guarantee you, your BS take-home code challenge is not helping you hire better candidates. If anything, you’re selecting for compliance and ability to prompt Chat GPT. Stop being a lazy ass and spend some time talking through a technical challenge with your candidate, or pair on something real.

The thing that really differentiates Bluesky is that it doesn’t feel like it was designed by a bunch of people who will lose their jobs if I spend a little less time on Bluesky.
"Ease for all human beings" is great tenant in software development. Your team, your customers, and especially yourself will greatly benefit. It should influence your technology decisions, your relationships, your code and your product.
The more I work as an a software developer, the more I realise that half of the work is about trust and a clear mind. This might be more about what I've learnt from being human 😄
