Wonderfully grounded, dreamy piece up this week about, well, dreams. Sink into "Waiting on a Dream" from @imbutashadow.bsky.social Link: dishsoap-quarterly.com/6-23-26

Living with your sibling as an adult is very similar to when you were a child, except instead of running away to avoid getting beat up when you piss her off, you are both too tired so the beating is psychological.

First dates should happen at a grocery store. You can eliminate so many people early on just watching how they shop for items, if they know what said item even is, etc. Beats having to find out they were incompetent later on.

Doing my due diligence as the Second Born helping buy toys for the First Born's Soles4Souls trip because the First Born had to learn about taxes and shake hands with adults instead of playing with yo-yos like me.

The First Born has secretly been buying frozen fish. It's a secret because we grew up by the sea, but don't live there anymore, we like fish, but not over the counter stuff, and if our father found out about all the dishonor we were defrosting, we would never hear the end of it.

Every time I visit my parents I see this brush my father's had since his culinary school days. It's lost a good portion of its bristles, is supported by cardboard on both sides, and is almost the same age as the First Born (approx. 35ish years).
