Earlier this month, Durham MEMSA was proud to host its 20th Annual Conference, ‘Connection, Conversation, Contention: Encounters in the Medieval and Early Modern World’ at St. John's College, Durham, chaired by Ava Siena Cohen and Joost Oosterhuis! (🧵1/8)

👏 Huge congratulations to IMEMS member Dr Jacob Lollar, who has just had three publications appear, all in the same weekend! They include his third book, on the Syriac reception of the 'Acts of Thekla' and the cult of St Thekla, published by Mohr Siebeck.

🌏💭 Last week, we hosted ‘Durham East Asia Postgraduate Research Conversations’. Organized by IMEMS member Sare Aricanli & theThinking East Asia (TEA) Research Cluster (@durhamhistory.bsky.social), the event also marked rthe inaugural meeting of the ‘East Asia in the North’ (EATN) network.
