Poor Halley is struggling to lay her egg. She had another "stuck" one last May, but she was able to lay it after our vet injected her with calcium. He also prescribed a medical-grade oral supplement, and she was able to lay three more eggs easily, so back to the vet we go.

Hooke and Halley. Hooke will be five years old in November. His father, Newton, passed away this January at approximately age 11. His mother, Huygens, passed away at about the same age last year. He has Newton's stripes, but his face is is Huygens'. He has her eyes. It's uncanny.

Halley laid her first egg too. I don't know her hatch date but I always suspected that she and Evelyn were close in age. I'll celebrate their birthdays together on Evelyn's hatch date next week.

Last night Evelyn laid her first egg ever. She'll be one year old August 19.
