She/her. Fanfic writer. Masters of Writing and Literature student. Mess of a human. The conventions of spelling and grammar don’t apply to me.

Unpopular opinion: Artists experience too pressure to release new albums. They need inspiration, experiences, and motivation to write and produce. Fans want amazing albums, but don't allow them time to put something together. 'Working on an album' =/= 'album ready for release'.

SPOILER (And in case your eye jumps very quickly, below is a spoiler) "If you want to go in there and strip naked to make a statement, I’ll clap the loudest." Is actually so sweet 😭❤️

Explain to me why it's more nerve-wracking to send a draft to a few people to sensitivity read than it is to upload straight to ao3, knowing thousands of people will receive email notifying them it's there 😭

some reasons to love WIPs: really all these come down to community. 1. 🗣️ You know some of the big fics we all cry over even after years and years. A lot of them started as WIPs, and the interest and love snowballed one chapter at a time until they’ve become enduring snowpeople, er, snowfics.

“You've got to be fucking kidding me,” “What?” Harry didn't take his eyes off the screen. “ ‘𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵?’ You know what.” “I don't,” Harry said. “No one, not one other single person in the world, and that includes 𝘮𝘦, watches Grease at ten in the morning.”

I don't mean to be the Mr. Rogers of Bluesky (I say "fuck" too much for that), but I did want to say for the new folks it's okay to be sad about the former Twitter, and everything that was lost there. I was sad about it too when I finally left. It's a real place with real memories. I mourned a bit.
