🚨 An update from MESA (6:30 PM, 8/18/26): Impacted residents are eager to return to their homes. As of 6:30pm, standing water remains in areas of Ravenswood and east of Keystone Avenue between 78th and 80th streets, making it unsafe to enter those areas.
Due to flood damage response efforts, reviews of new & existing floodplain development permits will be delayed through Friday. We apologize for the delay & expect normal review times to resume Monday. Thank you for your patience as our Flood Department works to support the community at this time.
Due to high water, AES is now surveying the Ravenswood neighborhood. Power may need to be temporarily shut off as a safety precaution. Residents should keep devices charged, prepare for a possible outage, and monitor all official updates.
The latest flood update (TIME: 7:53 PM) from DPW: Staff continues to monitor water levels along the White River Corridor, including potential downstream impacts. At this time, DPW Stormwater Engineering’s data shows we have reached peak flooding levels on the north side of Marion Co.
