Trying and failing to resist the urge to find some pretty self-striping yarn so I can make another pair of legwarmers. My current cardigan project is huge and thus not portable, but I might have opportunities for smaller things on our various travels over the next month or so. 🧶

Just when you think hay-fever season is over, the ivy comes out... those flowers are tiny, but my poor nose is not happy. 🤧
The shortlived Qin dynasty produced a wealth of richly coloured art, something the successor Han dynasty was never quite able to match, thanks to poor Han-dye coordination.
Does anyone know when they're going to finish the river path between Iffley Lock and Donnington Bridge? Abingdon Road was horrible this morning and I want to be able to cycle up the river again! (Diversion is too lumpy).
My good deed for today was warning the young man in the Parks that I had seen his dog rolling in something as I ran past. From the expression on his face, this was not an unusual occurrence, but he did thank me!
🤬 Just heard a tour guide say "Just do your best to dodge the bikes..." after leading 30 people across the road without warning them... ffs.
Running up the ring road on my way home earlier, I remembered the chap who did the Oxford Half in 2013 dressed as a tree. He was campaigning for rainforest conservation, but his costume was a bit fragile, so I just followed this trail of leaves until I overtook him in Sandford. 🍂🍃🌿
Off to Wales for a few days with my Mum today. The caravan site has almost no mobile signal, and that is one of the best things about it. A few days not being able to doomscroll for hours always makes me feel better.
Panel number 1 is done! I've been stitching dark blue since bloody April, and am excited to get to do something else! 🪡
New horror unlocked this morning when I showed A one of the prunes in my breakfast to demonstrate how they removed the stone and he said "that's where the worm came out". So that's overnight oats ruined, anyway. 🤢🪱
In a pub (A wanted to watch the football), which doesn't have beer mats. It's so warm that I'm having to lean ridiculously to drink from my glass, so that the condensation doesn't soak me as it drips in copious quantities. 😐
Put off going for my run to listen to the rest of the cricket 🏏 Great result for England, but yesterday was a brilliant day. I'm so glad we were there to see it. #ENGvPAK
Tfw you're listening to the Test Match, with tickets for day 3... 😬🏏 #ENGvPAK
Went for a run after getting some shopping, slightly hungry. Pretty sure I didn't hallucinate the man walking up Meadow Lane dropping chips from a bag while he went. 🍟
It has taken me until 1427 to get through the enquiries that built up in the last week while I was off. Roughly 20 actual queries, but some were more laborious than others. I need a(nother) holiday... 🫣
I have a new ambition: never to be one of the people whose names are repeated multiple times over the speakers at the airport. I also hope never to be the subject of a news report beginning "A British woman has (died/gone missing/other)...
Went looking for a place where we had good coffee the other day, and it *wasn't there* 🤔 Having one somewhere else instead. Last day today.
This afternoon's harbourside entertainment is being provided by occasional violent gusts of wind, which makes the rigging of the yachts scream and occasionally steals a hat from a tourist. 😎🧢
Love it when you pick somewhere at random for lunch and discover that they do your favourite 😍
A gave me SUCH a look when I asked him if he thought this contained hare products...
We are Away. Getting up at 4am wasn’t fun, but the view is worth it. We're on Samos, yonder is Turkey 🇹🇷
Sadly, the last outdoor yoga class of the summer was cancelled, but since it started raining just at the point where we would have been doing sun salutations, I'm not complaining much. 🧘♀️
