Looking for some ideas. Most of Year 10 are out on a trip. I have a lesson with a handful who didn't go from the whole year group. Last lesson Friday.

In #MathsToday we practiced differentiating polynomials before moving on to start looking at determining if a function is increasing, decreasing or stationary at a point.

Mocks coming up? I have a tool that helps get the timings straight when there are multiple exams, and extra time thrown in too. In IB we do 30 minute and 5 minute announcements, not sure about GCSE and A-Level? Can either be on screen or printed like this. tutor.interactive-maths.com/exam-timings

I used this successfully today to teach solving a quadratic equation when you have draw a line on a given quadratic graph. Being able to write the equation next to the graph was really helpful.

I think my question generators are really useful for creating quick questions (biased!). You can project and get as many as you want, turn them into worksheets, bingo, other activities. generator.interactive-maths.com

In #mathstoday I came up with a new tool on solving quadratic equations using factorising. www.interactive-maths.com/solving-quad... You can choose what you reveal or hide giving lots of flexibility.

I really do think that colour is helpful to identify steps in multi stage problems. But there is also scope to use it to link parts of a solution to the words in the question.
