Diona Tee (Longsleeve sweater version). Took me over a year because of discontinued yarn, then later found a couple sources pop up so I could finish the sleeves! Pattern by Sari Nordlund. Yarns are The Fibre Company Acadia in Thistle, and Dream in Color Suzette in Plum. Both discontinued. #knitsky

For #showmeyourknits stripes week, I present to you Blunk the Hat. It’s two alternating skeins, one of them a gradient. The construction is totally weird. And this one’s huge because I insisted on using worsted. You can find all the details about my projects in my ravelry.. link in bio.
Couldn't decide which shot I liked best, so uploaded all 4. My sweaters take so long that the manufacturers often discontinue the yarn before I finish. That was true with BOTH the yarns I held together on this Diona Tee! But I found more, so the sleeves continue to get longer. Same cables on back.
#showmeyourknits Things I've knitted more than once... Definitely have a lot of Kobuk hats, Pescovegetarian mittens, Micetto beanies, Callisto beanies, Cat Love hats, emo-support chickens, and frogs! See my link in bio to go to my Ravelry project page for all versions of them. Here is a selection.
@knitsky I have a FO! needs buttons stitched on at waistband. Pattern: Maiija Crossover on Rav. I paired a fingering wt merino-silk w/ a mohair. Size 10 US needles. De Rerum Natura is lovely yarn. In Oursin. Had yarn 🐓 as it was sold out nearly worldwide! I may have bought the last ones! Sweating!😅
This summer, we kept the lights on all night, every night, at five soccer fields across New York City. This was the scene at Calvert Vaux Park in Gravesend, Brooklyn Tuesday night.

#showmeyourknits Cowls week! I have made so many cowls. Many were gifted. The most difficult was the doubleknit Om Shanti cowl by Owlcat Designs. I lost the first one, so I made another, but it was really a slog! Mistakes were made. I went down a needle 2/3 of the way up and it was perfect.
#showmeyourknits cables week ~ you got it. This was designed as a tee, but I doubled up on the yarn and it's going to be a sweater. The sleeves are longer now, halfway to the elbow, just no new photo. It's the Diona Tee by Sari Nordlund. And yes, there are mistakes in there! But who could tell??
Here's a mid-project sneak peek of my progress on Annabelle Cardigan (not my pattern). I want about another 8-10 cm for the sleeves, and then I leave the armpit holes and continue the bottom-up raglan yoke. Anyone have any tips? Never done this type of sweater before. #knitsky
Does anyone know what's going on with the Ravelry website this morning? #knitsky
#showmeyourknits colorwork I guess I really don't care much about color value. This is made with 5 colors of Lore by The Fibre Co. and mohair/silk by Up North Yarns (salamander) and Isager Alpaca 1 (midnight). #knitsky This isn't even gradient yarn -- I'm swapping colors of one yarn at a time.
#showmeyourknits A very muted version of MidMod cowl by Sweaterfreak. Malabrigo worsted Inolvidable and Polar Morn. I feel like it looks like a worn out Turkish wool rug.
A new FO in some light, bright colors to verve up my winter blues. Cafevotten mittens by KO strikker. Yarn is Sandnes Garn Alpakka Ull, in ballet tutu and spicy orange. (Trying to work from my stash only, and this time it worked.) #knitsky
#showmeyourknits gray week... Here is the first whole sweater I ever knitted! It is Verdure, by Ambah O'Brien. I did a sweater test knit. Lots of bobbles. Malabrigo worsted in Polar Morn.
Someone is appreciating the cat bed I knitted 🥰 Yarns used - 6 strands held together: in comments

What we are seeing in Minnesota is what authoritarianism looks like in real time. Racism, dehumanization, and state-sanctioned violence are tearing at the foundation of this country.
Did you hear? The Fibre Company is ceasing yarn production. :( :( :*(
Oh, just the best picture I've ever taken... of a squirrel jumping from the chair into the bird feeder! And a very fat dove! Love this bird feeder.
7 years in between R & L mittens. I used different yarn. A small moth-hole in the first one. Oof. Now I have another pair of shoveling mittens before midnight. Pattern: www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... A minimal pattern, so if you've never knitted a mitten, this isn't the place to start. #knitsky
Not a knit this time! Just a simple knob cover for my teakettle lid, which gets really hot! (Looks like I might have missed a tiny spot. It'll be okay.) This is Madelinetosh Vintage in Brick Dust.
On a school field trip to see Pirates of Penzance in SF in 8th grade, I kissed Patrick Cassidy when I got to the front of the line to meet him.
I was Ian Botham's bridesmaid when I was very young.
