The original Introverts for Pete account: showing up since 2019
Most Americans agree we need to get money out of politics. If that takes a constitutional amendment, then that's what we have to do. And if that's going to take years, then it's all the more reason to begin pushing now.
This is big: elected Republicans in a deep-red state saying NO to Trump even after his personal plea. The balance is shifting - and we have to keep up the pressure everywhere.
Indiana likely will not push forward with redistricting despite pressure from White House
It’s a massive blow to the White House’s efforts to shore up a Republican House majority next year.

From street marches to court battles to the ballot box - we’ve challenged the power of this exceptionally unpopular president. The lesson from each success we've had is that we need to ramp the political pressure up, always up, not back down, now more than ever.
Obviously this is ridiculous as a policy for employees but also as a customer my blanket preference from any people working in any store anywhere ever is “leave me the absolute fuck alone” Smiling?? Eye contact?? TALKING TO ME???? Absolutely not!!!!
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper. They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer. If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help." 🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.

“There is clearly a stink to being associated with Donald Trump…”
Last night was a thumping from coast to coast. Across the country, voters rejected chaos and cynicism – and chose leaders who are focused on the cost of everyday life.
I highly recommend the audiobook of The Great Gatsby narrated by Leslie Odom Jr. It’s available for free on the Books app on any Apple device.
“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.” - F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
A freedom-loving people will not stand for the corruption and the power grabs we’re witnessing daily in our country. That's why millions of Americans took to the streets a few days ago, and it's why elections like the Virginia governor race will show the path to a better future a few days from now.

Joined the frog brigade at #nokings Seattle to spread the word that it's time to show T-Mobile that working with Trump and enriching Musk has consequences. #teslatakedown #BoycottTmobile
I heard somewhere that the feds were specifically setting up Bluesky accounts to monitor #NoKings activity. So even though I rarely post, let’s be clear where I stand.
Excellent turnout for #NoKings in Saco, Maine. Lots of great signs but I love this one for the sake of all the wonderful introverts in my life.
The President is getting involved after in-person pleading by the VP still couldn’t get these Indiana legislators to execute Trump’s gerrymandering plan. They’ve held off because they know it’s wrong - and because our pressure is working. So let’s keep it up!
