Meanwhile the UK has delayed plans for services for the severely affected again We’re abandoned by health and social care services and even have avoidable death reports showing this. And yet nothing changes

1) This video shows a unique care unit in Norway called Røysumtunet for people with #severeME & very severe ME. It is one of the only places where the sickest patients can receive specialised care. We need this everywhere!! #pwme #myalgicE #millionsmissing #severeME

Fantastic news! A big thank you to all involved in securing this. And I am so pleased that the government is putting money into this after the disappointment of it not securing funding in earlier attempts with the MRC/NIHR Better late than never!

🚨 Major funding secured for Sequence ME & Long Covid, a DecodeME project. On #WorldMEDay, we’re thrilled to share that the study has received £4.75 million from the UK government, signalling a transformative step towards uncovering the biological roots of ME/CFS and Long Covid.

I support the idea of electoral reform just as I support a closer relationship with the EU. But replies here again so people who think these are magic solutions or that they can be done before the next general election The next GE may be fought on these issues but they cannot happen beforehand

Local elections confirm it: we’re a five‑party system. Yet FPTP means seats don’t match votes and stability isn’t guaranteed. Govt’s restoring Supplementary Vote for mayors, so why keep FPTP for Westminster? The Representation of the People Bill is a start, but FPTP must go. #FairElections #PR #FPTP

Sunday thought for the day Compassion and care are not about being troubled by something. They’re not about showing how upset or outraged you are It took me a long time to learn this. But I think we often get it wrong, as seen a lot online and in some aspects of public life

Shall we just get Burnham and all party leaders, Starmer, Farage, Badenoch, Polanski and Davey to stand in the by-election? All the hopefuls. Winner takes all Lose and they have to leave politics It’s a bit unfair on Makerfield. But I trust them to all vote for @countbinface.bsky.social

While we watch the Labour party doing I don’t know what, some things have started working The NHS digital stuff. The app and all the services suddenly verified my identity without needing photo ID. Not everything is in there because my GP practice isn’t sharing it yet, but they will soon have to

“I’ve spoken to you and my colleagues and everyone agrees you’re not leading us into the next election. The only question is if we have a messy fight now or try an orderly transition later. Given I have no chance in the latter I’m going for the former but trying to pretend it’s about my principles”

🚨 BREAKING: Wes Streeting resigns "Where we need vision, we have a vacuum. Where we need direction, we have drift. This was underscored by your speech on Monday. Leaders take responsibility, but too often that has meant other people falling on their swords."
