This increases the risk of an overrun, particularly under the conditions facing wildland firefighters across the country. Going down into a canyon as opposed to letting the fire burn up to a ridgetop in the name of "full suppression" is extraordinarily dangerous.

According to two regional sources, the deal under discussion sets up a 60-day temporary arrangement between Oman and Iran in the Hormuz strait, which could be extended. All inbound traffic of ships through the strait and into the Gulf would go in a northern lane through Iranian waters.

While centrists continue to think Dems need to moderate on abortion, Kansas overwhelmingly rejected a collateral attack on the right to choose via an amendment (which would have switched to elected justices) after overwhelmingly rejecting an amendment to directly ban the right to choose in 2022.

Voters in Kansas saw through a blatant political power grab and sent a message — our courts are not for sale.

Republicans are all about freedom . . . as long as it doesn't involve voting, a woman's own body, or arriving hear legally from another country.
