IPAN is a grassroots network of organisations/concerned individuals aiming to work for a truly independent foreign policy for Australia

Lib/Labs both committed to #AUKUS to support the US in threatening China. They will both expand war spending. Help #Climate200 and the #Greens hold their feet to the fire to address our complicity with US warmongering and the most urgent threat to security- the #ClimateCrisis Vote Peace not War

Independent campaigns were structured around an April 12 election – and the decision to go later has added roughly $250,000 to required spending in each seat.

I just keep thinking of the heartlessness of going to an election promising to sack 41,000 people just because they’ve chosen public service. The LNP talks of small business owners going out of business as a tragedy. How is sending thousands of people into unemployment not?

We have been calling for Australia to cut ties with the US war mongers for years. Now is our chance. They are not an appropriate ally, research or financial partner. And no point waiting 4yrs for Trump to go away. His regimes destruction is so careless and cruel it's unretrievable. End #aukus

Paul Keating: do we need another reason to cut the imperialist rope and join the Asia-Pacific region where we live? Donald Trump: hold my beer.

So if we buy AUKUS nuclear subs, the US can turn them off if they don't like what we are doing! How many reasons do we need to Scrap #AUKUS ? "The US has the power to switch off the UK’s nuclear subs – a big problem as Donald Trump becomes an unreliable partner" theconversation.com/the-us-has-t...

Has the UK’s dependence on the US become a Faustian pact?

Fantastic move from Labor Against War ✌️ People say 'Oh we can't scrap #AUKUS because we have already spent so much'. Well that is a good reason to scrap it before we throw more money away. Money we need for Cost of Living, Housing, Climate, bring Jobseeker to the poverty line. Vote Peace Not War

Our message for a second-term Labor Government to scrap AUKUS is loud and clear as reported here by Isobel Roe from ABC News

Do we really want to be tied to a country supplying arms to Israel to Commit Genocide? A country that refused the UN International Criminal Court (ICC) order to arrest Netanyahu over War Crimes? Instead they gave him a standing ovation. Elections Matter - Cancel #AUKUS Vote Peace Not War

Shssh. Listen. Can you hear them? Children singing? Children laughing? Yes, brother. Yes, sister. Hear them crying, sighing, dying. POEM: Requiem for Lost Children ~ Leila Helen Meredith

War is a huge driver of climate heating. The emissions, the pollution, the expenditure, taking resources away from Climate Action, destruction of ecosystems, destruction of food systems. Time to stop fighting over power and land and work together to save the planet. We share one atmosphere

The Stena Immaculate has crashed off the coast of Hull. The ship was carrying jet fuel for the US Airforce. The crash has caused a “massive fireball” which is still burning now, over 29 hours later, and jet-fuel a carcinogen more flammable than diesel to pour into the sea. #NorthSea #USMilitary

Mike Pezzullo (sacked for failing to safeguard sensitive Govt info) says Pine Gap is more important than our trade interests & Aussie jobs. He confuses means with ends. For too long our head spooks have kowtowed to Washington, putting the US ahead of Australia. #auspol

We need to use this moment to pivot away from a relationship that no longer serves Australia. Based on shared conflict from long ago but not on shared values today is not a foundation to move forward with

Hi, Independent and Peaceful Australia Network here - We've been saying this for years :) Now is a good time to quit AUKUS Dear politicians - Don't let Australia be bullied into continuing with this flawed deal. "the worst deal in all history," according to Former Prime Minister Mr Paul Keating"

44% of Australians said they’d prefer a more independent foreign policy over a closer alliance with the US. "Australians are seeing the way he's trashing the international rule of law, the way he is treating allies, and they are responding." @emmashortis.bsky.social #auspol
