Update: Successfully cut my @ipc7.bsky.social abstract down to 299 words. Woo hoo! [Homer Simpson spinning on the floor gif] Now to send it to my coauthors, who are all in Australia and probably still asleep. And it's Saturday there. Oh well. So, what's the abstract about? Trace fossils, of course.
Finished a first draft of my @ipc7.bsky.social abstract yesterday, which felt good a full 5 days before the submission deadline. But this draft ended up at 488 words & the abstract limit is 300. So a snip-snip here, a clip-clip here, & a couple of fa-la-las, down to 349 words, 50 more to go.

Happy summer or winter solstice, depending on your hemisphere. After 3 days of gym workouts, treating this Sunday like a traditional sabbath by refraining from strenuous physical activities. Still, did cat wrangling, reading, cleaning, & now writing an abstract for the @ipc7.bsky.social meeting.
Heading to IPC7 in Cape Town? We'll be running a hands-on workshop exploring the palaeoverse R package and would love to see you there! 👩💻📈🐚🦕🌍
